Our 17th Deaf Dreamer, Bena, is studying
tailoring and fabric design in Uganda.
Our 16th Deaf Dreamer is Lydia from the Democratic Republic of the Congo! She is studying the fabric and sewing industry to train fellow Deaf workers.
Our 15th Deaf Dreamer, Monica, is studying the hospitality business in Uganda.
Our 14th Deaf Dreamer is Scovia from South Sudan!
She wants to build a Deaf school in her country as the other Deaf schools have been destroyed by war.
Our 13th Deaf Dreamer, Jennifer, is studying in Ghana to become a teacher at a Deaf school.
Our 12th Deaf Dreamer is Bonny from Rwanda!
He is studying to become a plumber and wants to start a business to train and provide work for other Deaf.
Our 11th Deaf Dreamer, Esther, from Rwanda
is studying creative arts with the dream of partnering with the British Council Creative Arts Program "to bring the Deaf to light."
Our 10th Deaf Dreamer, Alfred, is from Tanzania!
He will study welding and metal fabrication to open a much-needed shop in his home district of Karagwe. Alfred wants his example to encourage parents of Deaf children to send them to school.
Our 9th Deaf Dreamer, Rachael, will be studying knitting. Her dream is to set up a business that can also sponsor wheelchairs for others in Tanzania.
After going above and beyond to help FIVE other Dreamers get their schooling, we are thrilled that it will soon be Oryem's turn to attend university in Uganda and study information systems.
Our 7th Deaf Dreamer, Kelai, is studying carpentry
to start a Deaf company and
hire his fellow Deaf South Sudanese!
Our 6th Deaf Dreamer, Phina, wants to complete her schooling in Uganda so she can reach her dream of building a tailoring business and hire other Deaf employees!
Our 5th Deaf Dreamer, Patricia, is attending college to start a bilingual / bicultural Deaf school in Kenya!
Our 4th Deaf Dreamer, Amuge, graduated in Uganda and is eager to start her dream of starting a nonprofit in Africa!
Our 3rd Deaf Dreamer, Jerry, has graduated from an art college in Uganda and started an organization to break down barriers in his community!
Our 2nd Deaf Dreamer, Victoria, graduated from university in Ghana and was hired to teach at the Cape Coast Deaf School!
Our 1st Deaf Dreamer, Khiem, received his first degree in Vietnam and now champions disability rights throughout his nation via the media.
